This fountain consists of a purple and black basin in which sits a chalice (under which the pump sits). The chalice is purple with a black cross, signifying the chalice of St. Andrew. Water bubbles up from the center of the chalice, cascades over the rim of the cup and down the body of the chalice, into the basin. The top plane of the chalice and the interior of the basin feature subtle white dandelions over shiny black glaze.
When creating fountain designs for sacred spaces, I have found that a tower style is perfect for that environment (in this case, the tower is chalice-shaped). Water cascading over the top ledge and down the sides provides compelling visuals up close and from farther away, catching and reflecting lights from within the space. They also have the most subtle sound of any of my fountain designs, so whomever is speaking doesn’t have to compete with aggressive water sounds to be heard.
It stands just under a foot tall and the basin is 9” in diameter, making it the perfect centerpiece at the front of a sanctuary, where people will be viewing it from various distances.
There is a felt circle on the bottom of the fountain to protect your surfaces from scratches or condensation. Purchase includes the fountain, custom tubing, and pump. Routine washing is recommended. All pieces except the pump are dishwasher safe.
