Arboreal Oyster Fungi Bowl
In a recent exploration of the movement of clay around a hexagonal form, these beautiful wavy edges began to emerge, creating this lovely new shape, reminiscent of oyster mushrooms. Enamored with this unexpected discovery, I enhanced the form with color and pattern to create a series of Oyster Fungi Bowls.
This one features a black leaves on white on the floor of the bowl, surrounded by a carved willow tree design on black. The exterior of the waves features carved leaves, leading to another pattern surprise underneath. It rises off the table on a tripod of textured feet.
It is 3” tall and 7” in diameter.
